There are currently 3 micro structures completed or underway as part of the MicroShowcase. Each displays a different building technology:

  • Minim House, an award-winning micro house on wheels, designed by Foundry Architects and built by Element Design.
    • Square footage: 210 ft2 trailer
    • Technology: prefabricated SIPs panels
    • Completed: Aug 2013

 

  • The Studio Shed, a modern structure made by the Studio Shed company, that will serve as a community space.
    • Square footage: 288 ft2, concrete foundation
    • Technology: prefabricated, ZIP system panels
    • Completed: July 2014

 

  • The Boombox, a modern music studio, available for local musicians use.
    • Square footage: 320 ft2, pier foundation
    • Technology: two 40′ salvaged shipping containers
    • Completed: Jan 2016

    Hi my name is Noran Taylor, I have a question more so than a comment. If I wanted to rent a Minim House how would I find information on renting a tiny home in Washington DC or Maryland? I do want to let you know that I’m on a fixed income Social Sercurity $1600 per month.
